"American
Heroes Tribute"

Today we approach the education community, specifically high schools, with a paramount task; one that is extraordinary in its dimensions and unparalleled in its purpose and substance. As we are all aware, there are thousands of troops overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan, fighting for the preservation and proliferation of democracy, liberty, and freedom. It has been a long and arduous battle for these men and women, and now there are nearly 3147 fallen soldiers nationwide, 325 of which are from California.

In hopes of celebrating the lives and immense contributions that these men and women have made, The Saddleback Valley Inter-School Council of Students (SVICS), from the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, have selected the American Heroes Tribute, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, as our 2006 philanthropic project. We are hopeful that high schools in the greater Southern California area will help make the American Heroes Tribute become a reality by purchasing a commemorative banner immortalizing the many fallen American soldiers. With your help, together we can all make a difference.
